Mission Statement

• In 1977, Haj Taysir and Hajji Nahla Hammoud immigrated to the United States from their native country of Lebanon, escaping a war-torn country with their young children. They came to start a new life; to start from scratch, with the dream of creating a better life for their children. The dream of educating their children.  

• They were determined to instill the importance of education in not only their children, but in everyone who was presented with the opportunity.  Haj Taysir & Hajji Nahla ensured that their dream turned into reality; a dream that became their legacy. 

• In an effort to continue that legacy, their eldest son, Dr. Yasser Hammoud, with the support of his family, has created the Hammoud foundation.

• It is the mission of the Hammoud Foundation to assist underprivileged individuals of Lebanese and middle eastern decent to achieve their goals and realize their dreams of a higher education. 

• In the words of the late Haj Taysir, "Your education is the one thing that can never be taken away from you."
